Liquor Policy Case : ED has again summoned Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi liquor policy Case. The investigating agency has called him for questioning on January 18. This is the fourth summons sent by ED to CM Kejriwal.

After ED continuously issuing summons, Aam Aadmi Party is claiming that all this process is being done to arrest Arvind Kejriwal. ED wants to arrest him by calling him on the pretext of questioning. AAP says that if ED wants to interrogate, then it can write down its questions and give it to Kejriwal.

Earlier, he was called for questioning on January 3 and November 2 and December 21 last year. Kejriwal did not appear before the investigating agency all three times. On January 3, CM Kejriwal had told ED that he was busy in preparations for Rajya Sabha elections and Republic Day. Whatever you want to ask, please send it in writing.

Earlier on November 2, Kejriwal had called the ED summons illegal and politically motivated. After receiving the summons on December 21, Kejriwal had gone to Hoshiarpur in Punjab for 10 days of Vipassana.

The alleged Delhi liquor scam is related to the excise policy in 2021-22. Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena had recommended a CBI inquiry into its implementation, soon after which the AAP government canceled it in 2022. Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh are currently in jail in this case.
