Congress ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ enters Delhi

New Delhi : Congress Bharat Jodo Yatra enters Delhi today, amid calls by the Health Minister to follow Covid protocols. Actor-turned-politician and Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) president Kamal Haasan also joined the Gandhis yatra in Delhi today.

Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi also joined Rahul. Several party leaders, including Jairam Ramesh, Pawan Khera, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Kumari Selja and Randeep Surjewala were seen marching with Mr Gandhi.

Addressing a gathering at Delhi, Mr Rahul Gandhi said that the purpose of the Yatra is to showcase “real Hindustan” where people help each other, unlike RSS and BJP’s version of a hate-filled one. There is no nafrat in this yatra.

“This is the real Hindustan. Not the BJP’s and RSS’s hatred-filled Hindustan,” congress leader said. He also thanked the “lakhs of people” who provided love and support to the rally.

After congress Bharat Jodo Yatra enters Delhi today, the Delhi Congress Chief Anil Chaudhary welcomed Mr Gandhi, other party leaders and the yatris at Badarpur Border. As per the reports, the yatra to cover a roughly 23 km stretch in Delhi concluding at Red Fort in the evening.  After a day’s march through Delhi, the yatra will halt for around 9 days before resuming on January 3.
