UP Govt Announces Three-Day state Mourning For Mulayam Singh Yadav

UttarPradesh : Condoling the demise of Samajwadi Patron Mulayam Singh yadav, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced three-day state mourning and said the funeral of the veteran politician will be held with full state honours.

In a tweet, CM Yogi Adityanath said, ‘ I have talked to SP chief Akhilesh Yadav over the phone and expressed my condolences.’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also condoled the death of Former chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mulayam Singh Yadav. In a tweet, the prime minister said, “Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji was a remarkable personality. He was widely admired as a humble and grounded leader who was sensitive to people’s problems. He served people diligently and devoted his life towards popularising the ideals of Loknayak JP and Dr Lohia.”

In an another tweet, the Prime Minister said, Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji distinguished himself in UP and national politics. He was a key soldier for democracy during the Emergency. As Defence Minister, he worked for a stronger India. His Parliamentary interventions were insightful and emphasised on furthering national interest.

The SP Patron Yadav (82), passed on October 10 at Medanta hospital in Gurugram where he was undergoing treatment for multiple health issues. His death was confirmed through Samajwadi Party’s official Twitter Handle.
