CM Yogi takes stock of heatwave situation, issues directions to officials

Lucknow : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken stock of heatwave situation and given strict instructions to the officials to take all the necessary measures on priority to prevent heat and heat stroke in view of the deaths of people in Ballia.

In a high-level meeting on Monday, the UP CM said that better arrangements should be made for the treatment of patients suffering from heat stroke in government hospitals and medical colleges. Arrangements for immediate treatment should be made available  for patients suffering from heat stroke.

The chief Minister directed that Adequate arrangement of drinking water should be ensured in urban and rural areas. Drinking water should be supplied in cities as per the fixed roster and rural piped drinking water schemes should run smoothly.

He also directed that water and shade should be arranged at public places for cattle and dogs also and people should be made aware to keep water and grains in small vessels for birds. Adequate arrangements for fodder and water should be made for the bovine animals in the gaushalas.
