New Delhi : Union Minister of State Kaushal Kishore said that India will be drug free by the year 2047. The Union Minister said this during the ‘Hindustaniyo Nasha Chhodo’ resolution ceremony at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi. Thousands of people from all religions and societies participated in this program from many states of the country.
Vice-Chancellors of universities, directors of IITs, NIITs were present in the program, as well as doctors, advocates and students of various institutions, who were given the responsibility to join at least one person every month to make them drug-free. Also have to take the initiative to do it.
In his keynote address, Union Minister of State Kaushal Kishore said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on completion of 100 years of independence, it is expected to make the country completely drug-free and self-sufficient by 2047, due to which this movement has been started. He told that there are many facts related to his personal life behind starting this movement, which he shared with the people present there.
He said, “I could not save my son, while I am an MP and my wife is an MLA. We kept his dead body in the house for a day. While burning it, I took a pledge that I will convey this to the whole country and start a campaign against drugs. I want girls to take a pledge that they will not marry any kind of drug addict’
Advising the students to stay away from drugs, the minister said, whenever you celebrate the New Year, invite your friends home, serve tea, coffee, serve good food, but do not go to a party with alcohol and cigarettes. He said that I request the parents to save their children from drugs.
Kaushal administered the oath to the school students advising them to take a pledge to stay away from drugs. Hundreds of students took oath at the Talkatora Stadium that they will always stay away from the bad habit of drugs.
