Chattisgarh CM Oath : Vishnu Deo Sai has become the fourth Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. He took oath as CM in Hindi. Governor Vishwabhushan Harichandan administered him the oath.

Many big leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah were present in the ceremony. After taking oath, Sai reached the ministry and took charge. Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma were also present with him.

Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma took oath as Deputy CMs. Governor Vishwabhushan Harichandan administered the oath of office and secrecy the two deputy CMs during a swearing-in ceremony at the Science College grounds. During this period, strict security arrangements were made.

Former Union Minister Sai has also been the state president of BJP in Chhattisgarh. He won from Kunkuri assembly seat of Surguja division in the assembly elections held in the state. BJP is now in control of all the 14 seats in this region.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao (54), who took oath along with Sai, comes from the influential Sahu (Teli) OBC community and is the state president of BJP. Advocate-turned-politician Sao defeated his nearest rival Thaneshwar Sahu of Congress in the assembly elections from Lormi seat by 45,891 votes.

Other Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma (50) is from the Brahmin community. He is the General Secretary of BJP in the state. Sharma, a vocal supporter of Hindutva, defeated influential Congress leader and outgoing minister Mohammad Akbar by 39,592 votes in Kawardha constituency.
