Strengthening women empowerment requires both grassroots action and systemic reforms : Navesh Kumar

New Delhi :  Women empowerment must be strengthened both at grassroots level and through reforms, said advocate Navesh Kumar at seminar on Women Empowerment and Gender Equality held at the Constitution Club of India.

The legal Journalist turned Advocate, Kumar delivered an impactful address emphasizing the need for a dual approach to women empowerment—both at the grassroots level and through progressive legal reforms.

Sharing the platform with trailblazers from the administrative and legal fraternity, Mr. Kumar highlighted the crucial role of the Amrendra Foundation in bringing about tangible change through legal awareness campaigns and sanitary pad distribution programs aimed at underserved communities.

“True empowerment must be built from the bottom up in our homes and communities, and also from the top down through visionary policies and legal reforms,” Kumar stated.

Citing landmark legal reforms such as the POSH Act, abolition of Triple Talaq, and equal property rights for daughters, The Mentor of Foundation, Mr. Kumar underscored their importance as “tectonic shifts” in India’s legal landscape, demonstrating a governmental commitment to dignity, equality, and justice for women.

The seminar provided a dynamic platform for leaders from diverse fields to share experiences and perspectives on how legal and social mechanisms can work in tandem to uplift and empower women across the country.
