PM Modi inaugurates Khelo India Youth Games 2025, lauds 14 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi

Khelo India Youth Games 2025 has started for the first time in Bihar. PM Narendra Modi inaugurated it through video conferencing at Pataliputra Spectators Complex in Patna. All the major ministers and officials of Bihar government including CM Nitish Kumar and Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary are present in the program. CM Nitish Kumar and Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya lit the torch in the presence of the PM.

A total of 8500 players from different states of the country have reached to participate in this great competition going to run from 4th to 15th May. All of them are going to show their strength for 2435 medals in 28 sports.

PM Modi said that I wish all the players my best wishes. Sports is making its mark as a culture in India. Khelo India Youth Games has become a huge platform for the youth of the country in this direction. It is very important for any player to play as many matches and participate in competitions as possible to improve their performance.

The NDA government has given priority to this. PM Modi said that Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a small boy from Bihar, performed brilliantly in the IPL. I congratulate him for his performance. He worked very hard for this.

Khelo India Youth Games in Bihar till May 15

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, in collaboration with the Government of Bihar, is organizing Khelo India Youth Games 2025 in Bihar from 4th May to 15th May. This competition has been organized in a total of five cities of Bihar, namely Patna, Rajgir, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Begusarai. There will be competitions in a total of 28 games and demo competitions of e-sports. About 10,000 players, coaches, support staff, technical officials, etc. from various states and union territories of the country participated in it.
