New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the deaths caused by the wall collapse in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. In a post on X, PM Modi expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. He also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured.
In a post made by the PMO, the Prime Minister said,
Deeply saddened by the loss of lives due to the collapse of a wall in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon.
