Nationalist Congress Party Welcomes the 18 Key Reforms Announced by the Election Commission of India
New Delhi: S.R. Kohli, National General Secretary, and Brijmohan Shrivastav, Chief National Spokesperson of the Nationalist Congress Party, have welcomed the 18-point electoral reforms recently announced by the Election Commission of India, describing them as a historic step towards strengthening Indian democracy.
They stated that these reforms will promote transparency, accountability, and greater public participation in the electoral process. The reforms will not only enhance the accuracy of electoral rolls but will also make the election process more efficient and accessible.
Shrivastav further urged that just as Booth Level Officers (BLOs) receive training prior to elections, Booth Level Agents should also be mandatorily included in structured training programs. He emphasized that booth agents are a vital part of the electoral process, and their training would help ensure greater voter awareness and fair polling.
He congratulated the Election Commission of India for this bold initiative and expressed hope that these reforms would further empower the nation-building process through upcoming elections.
