IPL 2025 : The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday decided to suspend IPL 2025 due to the increasing tension between India and Pakistan. The BCCI also discussed the matter with the central government and then took this important decision.
Earlier, the 58th match of IPL 2025 between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was cancelled in Dharamsala on Thursday. The decision to cancel the match was taken midway due to tension on the border between India and Pakistan. From here, indications started coming that a big decision could be taken on IPL 2025.
So far 58 matches have been played in IPL season 18, while 12 matches of the league stage are remaining. 10 teams are participating in the IPL which started on 22 March. A total of 74 matches were to be played including the final. As per the schedule, the final was to be played on 25 May at Eden Gardens.
