In this match played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday, Delhi scored 199 runs for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs with the help of KL Rahul’s century. In response, Gujarat Titans scored 205 runs without losing a single wicket in the stipulated overs and won the match.
Chasing the target of 200 runs, Sai Sudarshan and Shubman Gill gave Gujarat a good start and maintained the momentum till the end. There was an unbeaten partnership of 205 runs between the two. This is the third-highest partnership played by any opening pair. Earlier, Gill and Sudarshan had shared a partnership of 210 runs in IPL 2024. This is Gujarat’s second-highest win while chasing the target.
In his innings of 61 balls, Sai Sudarshan hit 12 fours and 4 sixes. Shubman Gill hit 3 fours and 7 sixes in 53 balls. This victory has also taken Gujarat to the top of the table with 18 points.
